Not necessarily. If photos are still sharp, only the lens glass needs replacing, £50 on any model. If dust or moisture has reached the module you’ll see spots or haze in photos, and we quote the module as well, before doing anything.
The front camera is part of the Face ID assembly. On iPhone 12 and newer we restore Face ID through Apple’s Self Service Repair programme at £220, with the part ordered to your serial number. Older models are assessed under the £20 diagnostic. Use the quote tool and choose Face ID.
Yes, a replacement module is tested against the original’s focus, colour and stabilisation on every lens before it goes back. If anything is off, it doesn’t leave the bench.
