It works both ways. If the device is worse than described, we'll always discuss it openly before anything changes, and if you'd rather not accept the new offer we post it back. That's free, unless it isn't as described (it won't unlock, it's locked or blocked, or it has a fault you didn't mention), when return postage is a flat £15. A small gap, like a few per cent of battery health, is always a free return. If it turns out to be better than expected (say it powers on when listed as not turning on), we message you and offer more. We could pay the original offer. We don't.
When you trade toward one of our refurbished phones, your trade in value goes directly off the price. The quote tool shows the cash figure and the credit figure side by side. If you decide not to upgrade, you get the cash offer instead, no pressure either way.
